Farooq Adavudi (PhD)
Administrative Director/Co-founder
Farooq is a multidisciplinary ecologist, passionate about biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability. As an applied ecologist at ExxonMobil, he provides expert technical support in biodiversity assessments, ecological restoration, and environmental remediation. His work broadly focuses on developing practical solutions and scientifically sound methods for optimizing biodiversity conservation and human needs. In his free time, he enjoys connecting with nature and staying active.

Caka Karlsson
Director of Research and Biodiversity Conservation
Caka holds an MSc degree from Lund University, where she in 2023 completed the Animal Ecology program. She studied the movement pattern of the Yellow-billed Kite, in Nigeria for her MSc thesis. She has contributed to the LIFE EuroKite project, a Europe-wide Red Kite conservation initiative. In addition to her raptor interest, she is also interested in Human-wildlife interactions.

Williams Michael Manja
Endangered Species Conservation Coordinator/Co-founder
Michael is a PhD candidate studying Wildlife Ecology at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. He holds a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology and another in Biology Education, equipping him for both field research and conservation education. Michael is a member of the IUCN vulture Specialist Group (VSG) and Species Survival Commission (SSC). As an expert in vulture research and conservation, Michael has conducted extensive research and led numerous conservation outreach programs to protect endangered Old-World vulture species and other threatened raptors. His expertise and dedication make him valuable to our organization’s biodiversity preservation mission.
Samson Da’an (PhD)
Biodiversity Coordinator
Samson holds a Ph.D in Conservation Biology from the University of Jos, Nigeria and a Post-graduate Diploma in Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. His research interest and activities include species conservation across different land use types, human–wildlife interactions/human livelihoods around conservation areas and environmental education. He presently coordinates the A. P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute’s field station in Weppa, Edo state, Nigeria. His expertise and experience are invaluable to our work at Biota Conservation Hub Foundation.
Bar. Williams Fwangmun Manja
Secretary /Conservation Law Enforcement Coordinator
Fwangmun is a distinguished lawyer and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He serves as a member of the Plateau State Law Reform Commission, contributing to legislative advancements for justice and governance. As part of the Nigerian Bar Association Law Reform Committee, he plays a key role in national legal reforms. He is the Principal Partner of F.M. Williams and Partners, a renowned law firm recognized for excellence in advocacy and consultancy. Passionate about biodiversity conservation, he actively promotes sustainability and environmental justice making him a conservation law activist valuable for our organization.
Nanchin Winifred Kazeh
Nature Conservation Programme Manager
Nanchin is an early career conservation ecologist with interest in biogeography, field ornithology and citizen science.
Mundi Francis Junior (PhD)
Afforestation/Carbon Sequestration Coordinator
Mundi is a conservation biologist and lecturer at the Federal College of Forestry, Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. His research focuses on the ecology and conservation of bee-eater birds, including population surveys, habitat assessments, and investigations into the impacts of climate change on these avian species. He also works on effective use of plants for carbon-sequestration.
Kjell Janssens
Raptor Research Coordinator/Bird Trapping and Tagging Expert
Kjell is a raptor trapping and tagging expert with extensive field research experience across numerous countries. He has dedicated his career to trapping, tagging, and monitoring diverse raptor species and training emerging researchers in these specialized techniques.
Yiljika John Daniel
Conservation Education Coordinator
Nde John Daniel Yiljika is a lecturer at Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, Bauchi State. He holds a B.Tech.Ed from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, and an M.Sc.Ed in Biology from the University of Jos (UniJos). He teaches biology courses at both NCE and undergraduate levels.

Jonathan is a public and environmental health professional and lecturer at the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. His work with BioaCHF focuses on environmental health, pollution control, zoonotic infections, and biodiversity conservation, promoting sustainable practices to protect ecosystems and human health.
